Tips & Tricks from Real Parents
The Zimbabwe side has the best views (85% of the falls visible) while the Zambia side is closer to the water.
Go in the morning when the sun is at your back for the best rainbow photos.
Bring a waterproof bag and poncho. In peak season (June), you will get soaked even from the viewpoints.
The rainforest trail is about 2 km and stroller-friendly in dry season. For toddlers, carriers are better.
Combine with a sunset helicopter flight over the falls for the ultimate family photo opportunity.

A Real Parent's Story
The rainbow that followed us through the rainforest
“Every viewpoint had a rainbow. My kids started counting them. We lost count at 8. They still argue about the final number.”

We visited in July when the falls are at full power. The spray is so thick it feels like rain. My three kids (5, 7, 10) ran from viewpoint to viewpoint, rainbows appearing and disappearing as the sun shifted. The main falls viewpoint had a double rainbow that lasted 20 minutes. We took what must be the best family photo ever.
