Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

The skywalk (walking around the outside with a harness) has a minimum height of 120cm — measure your kid before booking or you’ll get turned away at check-in.

2

Visit on the hour to catch the rotating restaurant’s lunch service — the food is average but the 360-degree view while eating makes it fun for kids.

3

The glass floor scares some toddlers. Start by looking at the floor from a distance, then let them crawl onto it gradually.

4

The science exhibition on the ground floor is free with your ticket — don’t skip it. There’s a wind tunnel and an earthquake simulator kids love.

5

Check the weather forecast. If it’s overcast, the views are wasted. Reschedule for a clear day.

A Real Parent's Story

She conquered her fear of heights in 10 minutes

My 7-year-old daughter froze at the glass floor edge. A staff member walked her across holding her hand. By the third crossing, she was jumping on it. We couldn’t get her off.

We drove 2 hours from Helsinki just for this. The TV Tower exceeded all expectations. The kids zone on the lower observation deck has these interactive screens where you can draw virtual graffiti on the city — our kids spent 40 minutes there. The cafe serves a decent kids meal with a view. We spent 3 hours total and it was worth every euro.
