A Real Parent's Story

The Earthquake That Terrified and Delighted My Kids

The earthquake simulation shook my kids silly -- my 5-year-old screamed, then demanded to do it again three times.

We spent a rainy Thursday at the Science Center. Best decision in Taipei. The earthquake simulation recreates a real earthquake inside a mock apartment. We did it three times. The Science Playground has a giant bubble station, air cannon, construction zone, and water play area. My 8-year-old spent 45 minutes at the robotics station. The combo ticket with the Astronomical Museum is a steal. Best rainy day activity in Taipei for families.
