A Real Parent's Story
Watching a polar bear swim made us forget the cold
“Our 7-year-old pressed against the glass for 20 minutes watching a polar bear swim laps. We left with numb toes and full hearts.”

We visited in February. It was freezing. But the polar bear exhibit has huge underwater viewing windows and the bears are incredibly active in cold weather. Our daughter watched one swim figure-eights for 20 minutes. A keeper noticed and spent 15 minutes explaining the breeding program. She wants to be a zookeeper now.
