A Real Parent's Story

The polar bear made my son question everything

My 5-year-old stared at the polar bear for 10 minutes, then asked 'Is he sad because ice is melting?' We had the most important conversation of our trip right there. Kids notice everything.

Seoul Grand Park is enormous — think Central Park with a world-class zoo in the middle. The polar bear exhibit is impressive and surprisingly thoughtful about conservation messaging. The children's zoo section has a hands-on petting area that our kids loved. At $3 per adult entry, it's absurdly good value. The nearby Seoul Museum of Art (within the park) has kids' workshops on weekends.
