A Real Parent's Story

Condors meet the city

We watched a condor perched on a dead branch, the entire city of Santiago spread out behind it. My daughter said it looked like the bird owned everything it could see.

San Cristobal Hill is beautiful and the zoo is a gem. The condor exhibit is perfectly positioned so the birds are backlit by the Andes. We took the funicular up, spent 3 hours at the zoo, then walked to the hilltop statue. A perfect day.
