A Real Parent's Story

When a giraffe kissed my 3-year-old

A 14-foot giraffe bent down, extended its 45cm tongue, and gently took a pellet from my daughter's open palm. She shrieked with joy. I cried. My wife filmed the whole thing.

The Giraffe Centre is small and you could spend just 30 minutes there. But we stayed 2 hours. The elevated platform puts you face-to-face with these magnificent animals. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate. Watching my 3-year-old feed a giraffe for the first time is a memory I'll never forget. Proceeds go to conservation -- it's wholesome in every way.
