The petting zoo goat was not gentle. He nudged my 3-year-old in the back of the knee, she toppled into a hay bale, and the goat immediately started eating her shoelaces.

The zoo is modest but the park setting is lovely. My kids mostly wanted to run around Villa Dolores which has excellent playgrounds. The zoo became a nice bonus. The goat eating shoelaces became a family legend.
