Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

Book the 'Safari Tour' online at least 48 hours in advance. The walk-in queue sells out by 10 AM.

2

The lion walk (walking alongside lions with handlers) is for ages 15+. Don't disappoint younger kids -- do giraffe feeding instead.

3

The zip-line over the croc enclosure is the park's signature thrill. Minimum age is 8. It's worth the extra fee.

4

Bring swimwear. There's a free pool and water play area that kids love on hot afternoons.

5

Skip the overpriced lunch buffet. The cafe at the entrance has better food for half the price.

A Real Parent's Story

My 5-year-old fed a giraffe AND petted a giant tortoise

Within one hour she fed a giraffe, touched a 150-year-old giant tortoise, and rode a pony. She turned to me and said 'this is the best day of my whole life.' Casela delivers.

Casela is expensive but worth it. The park is huge and well-maintained. The safari bus takes you through African savanna enclosures with rhinos, zebras, and ostriches. The giant tortoise enclosure is incredible -- these ancient creatures roam freely and the kids can touch their shells. The giraffe feeding platform is identical to Nairobi but in a stunning Mauritian setting. A full-day experience.
