A Real Parent's Story
The Dilmun dig that made a little archaeologist
“My 7-year-old spent an hour in the archaeology sand pit brushing away sand to find replica Dilmun seals. A curator showed him how real archaeologists work.”

We drove from Dubai to Bahrain for a weekend and the National Museum was our first stop. My son loves dinosaurs and anything digging-related. The children's section has a sand pit with replica Dilmun artifacts buried inside. He found a tiny clay seal and the museum staff gave him a certificate. He wore it around his neck for the rest of the trip. Best 1 dinar I ever spent.
