Book penguin feeding online in advance (11:30 AM). Only 30 spots -- gone within an hour of opening.
The touch pool at the entrance is free even without admission. Good warm-up for nervous kids.
The kelp forest exhibit is most photogenic around 10 AM when morning light streams through the tank.
Avoid SA school holidays (July, December) -- queues wrap around the building.
Combine with V&A Waterfront -- free splash fountains and the ferris wheel are a 2-min walk away.

A Real Parent's Story
She told the penguin her deepest secrets
“At the penguin feeding, our 4-year-old leaned in and whispered to a penguin for 5 minutes. The keeper waited. The penguin tilted its head. I have no idea what she said.”

We spent the whole morning at Two Oceans. The ocean exhibit is breathtaking -- a 2-million-liter tank with ragged-tooth sharks that look terrifying but the guides explain they're docile. The penguin encounter costs extra but watching a 4-year-old confide in a penguin is the purest thing I've ever witnessed.
