The view from the top made us forget the queues

Ferris wheel at sunset over Barcelona. Our 5-year-old pressed her face to the glass. Worth every minute.

Tibidabo is not a big theme park — more like a vintage fairground with a killer view. Our kids loved the classic carousel and small roller coaster. But the real star is the observation deck next to the church. The whole city spreads at your feet — Sagrada Familia, the port, the Mediterranean. We stayed for sunset and it was unforgettable.
