Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

The dolphin show has limited seating. Arrive 20 min early for good spots. The 11AM show is least crowded.

2

Combine with Ciutadella Park — the zoo is inside the park. Rowboats on the lake nearby.

3

The primate walk-through area is the highlight. Best before noon when keepers do enrichment feeding.

4

Bring hats and sunscreen — many newer enclosures have less shade than the old zoo layout.

5

The zoo is undergoing renovations so some areas may be closed. Check their website before visiting.

A Real Parent's Story

The dolphin show made our 3-year-old shriek with joy

When the dolphins leaped and splashed, our daughter shrieked so loudly the whole row laughed. Pure joy.

We almost skipped the dolphin show. So glad we went. She sat mesmerized for 25 minutes. When a dolphin did a backflip and splashed the front rows, she erupted. The zoo itself is a work in progress — some areas feel dated — but the dolphin show and primate section make it worth the ticket.
